The LGER Project was approved by the Board as part of the AB 118 Air Quality Improvement Program Funding Plan for Fiscal Year 2010-11 and provides vouchers or rebates of up to $250 for the purchase of cordless zero-emission lawn and garden equipment. This solicitation for LGER Project Grantees is open to all air districts designated as non-attainment of the federal 8-hour ozone standard. Applications are due to ARB by December 3, 2010. The grant solicitation and all associated documents may be found on ARB’s webpage at http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aqip/solicitations.htm . For more information about the LGER Project, please go to: http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aqip/lger.htm . For more information about the AQIP, please go to: http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aqip/aqip.htm . If you have questions regarding this grant solicitation please contact Ms. Grace Garcia at ggarcia@arb.ca.gov or (916) 323-2781. Background: The Air Quality Improvement Program (AQIP) is a voluntary incentive program administered by ARB to fund clean vehicle and equipment projects through 2015. Each year the Board approves the AQIP Funding Plan, which serves as the blueprint for expending AQIP funds during the current fiscal year. The FY 2010-11 Funding Plan focuses the AQIP on supporting five deployment projects and four demonstration projects needed to meet California’s longer-term, post 2020 air quality goals.
