tru -- ARB adjusts TRU flexibility engine compliance dates in accordance with November amendment

The California Air Resources Board (ARB or Board) has adjusted the “Compliant Until” dates in the ARB Equipment Registration (ARBER) system for model year 2003 flexibility engines that were installed in trailer transport refrigeration units (TRU) in 2004 and 2005, and model year 2004 flexibility engines that were installed in truck TRUs in 2005 and 2006. This is consistent with the Board’s November 18, 2010, approval of an amendment to the TRU Airborne Toxic Control Measure. Notification letters are being sent to all owners of TRUs that are registered in ARBER that have flexibility engines, according to information provided by TRU manufacturers. Owners may log in to ARBER and check the adjusted compliance dates for their units at: https://arber.arb.ca.gov/Welcome.arb?prg=tru.
