You are invited to attend a second public workshop to discuss proposed amendments to the Regulation for Mobile Cargo Handling Equipment at Ports and Intermodal Rail Yards. The meeting will be held: Wednesday, February 23, 2011 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon CalEPA Headquarters Building Byron Sher Auditorium, 2nd Floor 1001 I St. Sacramento, CA 95814 The meeting notice and preliminary agenda are available at the following links: http://www.arb.ca.gov/ports/cargo/meetings/notice022311.pdf and http://www.arb.ca.gov/ports/cargo/meetings/agenda022311.pdf Workshop documents and presentations will be posted as they become available and can be found on the CHE Regulation web page at the following link: http://www.arb.ca.gov/ports/cargo/meet.htm Cargo handling equipment is used to transfer goods or perform maintenance and repair activities and includes equipment such as yard trucks (hostlers), rubber-tired gantry cranes, top handlers, side handlers, forklifts, and loaders, just to name a few. The Regulation for Mobile Cargo Handling Equipment at Ports and Intermodal Rail Yards was adopted in December 2006 as part of the Risk Reduction Plan to Reduce Particulate Matter Emissions from Diesel-Fueled Engines and Vehicles.
