Background: The Air Quality Improvement Program (AQIP) is a
voluntary incentive program administered by ARB to fund clean
vehicle and equipment projects through 2015. Each year the Board
approves the AQIP Funding Plan, which serves as the blueprint for
expending AQIP funds during the current fiscal year. The FY
2010-11 Funding Plan focuses the AQIP on supporting five
deployment projects and four demonstration projects needed to
meet California’s longer-term, post 2020 air quality goals.
