Posted: 30 Mar 2011 10:40:11
The California Air Resources Board (ARB or Board) is soliciting a Grantee or Grantees for the $2 million Hybrid Off-Road Equipment Pilot Project (Off-Road Pilot) Grant Solicitation. The Off-Road Pilot was approved by the Board as part of the AB 118 Air Quality Improvement Program Funding Plan for Fiscal Year 2010-11. The Off-Road Pilot will help accelerate the deployment of new hybrid construction equipment in California by reducing the purchase price of eligible new equipment and substantiating the emission benefits of this technology. This solicitation is open to individuals, public entities or agencies, and organizations with California off-road equipment, vehicle incentive project, or air quality expertise. Specific requirements of Off-Road Pilot Project Grantee are described in this solicitation. Applications are due to ARB by May 9, 2011. The grant solicitation and all associated documents may be found on ARB’s webpage at http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aqip/solicitations.htm . For more information about the Off-Road Pilot, please go to: http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aqip/offroad_hybrid.htm . For more information about the AQIP, please go to: http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aqip/aqip.htm . If you have questions regarding this grant solicitation, please contact Mr. Joe Calavita at jcalavit@arb.ca.gov or (916) 445-4586. Background: The Air Quality Improvement Program (AQIP) is a voluntary incentive program administered by ARB to fund clean vehicle and equipment projects through 2015. Each year the Board approves the AQIP Funding Plan, which serves as the blueprint for expending AQIP funds during the current fiscal year. The FY 2010-11 Funding Plan focuses the AQIP on supporting projects needed to meet California’s longer-term, post-2020 air quality goals.
