The California Air Resources Board (ARB or Board) is pleased to announce its grant solicitation for the $800,000 Advanced Technology Demonstration Project for the demonstration of technologies that meet the Ultra Low-Emitting Locomotive emission level or below. This solicitation for the Locomotive Advanced Technology Demonstration Project is open to California based public agencies such air district, ports, state or local government entities or agencies with expertise implementing demonstration programs and the requisite knowledge of locomotive operations. Each year the Board approves the AQIP Funding Plan, which serves as the blueprint for expending AQIP funds during the current fiscal year. The FY 2010-11 Funding Plan focuses the AQIP on supporting five deployment projects and demonstration projects in four categories needed to meet California’s longer-term, post 2020 air quality goals.
