AGENDA

1.	Continuation of the Panel’s review of proposed acute, 8-hour,
and chronic Reference Exposure Levels for caprolactam (April,
2011)
The Panel will continue its review of the proposed reference
exposure levels (RELs) for caprolactam. RELs are concentrations
in air at or below which noncancer adverse health effects are not
expected to occur, even in sensitive members of the general
population. Once finalized and adopted by the Director of the
Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA), the
summary will become part of Appendix D to the “Air Toxics Hot
Spots Risk Assessment Guidelines Technical Support Document for
the Derivation of Noncancer Reference Exposure Levels.” State
law (Health and Safety Code section 44360 (b)(2)) requires that
OEHHA develop these health risk assessment guidelines for the Air
Toxics Hot Spots Program.

2.	Consideration of proposed acute, 8-hour, and chronic Reference
Exposure Levels for nickel and nickel compounds (April, 2011)
OEHHA staff will present the proposed RELs for nickel and nickel
compounds. As noted above, once finalized and adopted by the
OEHHA Director, the summary will become part of Appendix D to the
“Air Toxics Hot Spots Risk Assessment Guidelines Technical
Support Document for the Derivation of Noncancer Reference
Exposure Levels.”
