You are invited to attend a third public workshop to discuss proposed amendments to the Regulation for Mobile Cargo Handling Equipment at Ports and Intermodal Rail Yards. The meeting will be held: Monday, June 27, 2011 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. CalEPA Headquarters Building Sierra Hearing Room, 2nd Floor 1001 I St. Sacramento, CA 95814 The meeting notice and a preliminary meeting agenda are now available at the following links: http://www.arb.ca.gov/ports/cargo/meetings/notice052311.pdf http://www.arb.ca.gov/ports/cargo/meetings/agenda052311.pdf Workshop documents and presentations will be posted as they become available and can be found on the CHE Regulation web page at the following link: http://www.arb.ca.gov/ports/cargo/meet.htm Cargo handling equipment is used to transfer goods or perform maintenance and repair activities and includes equipment such as yard trucks (hostlers), rubber-tired gantry cranes, top handlers, side handlers, forklifts, and loaders, just to name a few. The Regulation for Mobile Cargo Handling Equipment at Ports and Intermodal Rail Yards was adopted in December 2005 to reduce diesel particulate matter in communities located near ports and intermodal rail yards.
