ARB Loan Assistance for Portable Diesel Equipment Owners . The
Air Resources Board (ARB) received American Recovery and
Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds to assist small business owners in
upgrading, among other things, their portable diesel equipment
with cleaner, less-polluting equipment.  ARB has partnered with
CalCAP to provide loan assistance to portable diesel equipment
owners seeking to finance equipment replacement, engine repowers,
or retrofits.  Such portable diesel equipment is used in
construction, agriculture, mining, or industrial operations.  The
objective of the loan assistance program is to encourage early
compliance with the Portable Diesel-Fueled Engines Air Toxic
Control Measure; therefore this program cannot be used for adding
additional equipment to fleets.
