Staff presentations, draft regulatory language, and agenda are now available for the workshop to discuss proposed amendments to the Regulation for Mobile Cargo Handling Equipment at Ports and Intermodal Rail Yards. The materials can be downloaded from the Cargo Handling Equipment website at the following link: http://www.arb.ca.gov/ports/cargo/meet.htm The third public workshop to discuss proposed amendments to the Regulation for Mobile Cargo Handling Equipment at Ports and Intermodal Rail Yards will be held: Monday, June 27, 2011 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. CalEPA Headquarters Building Sierra Hearing Room, 2nd Floor 1001 I St. Sacramento, CA 95814 The workshop will be available via webcast at the following link: http://epanet.ca.gov/Broadcast/ Cargo handling equipment is used to transfer goods or perform maintenance and repair activities and includes, but is not limited to, equipment such as yard trucks (hostlers), rubber-tired gantry cranes, top handlers, side handlers, forklifts, and loaders. The Regulation for Mobile Cargo Handling Equipment at Ports and Intermodal Rail Yards was adopted in December 2005 to reduce diesel particulate matter in communities located near ports and intermodal rail yards.
