Posted: 13 Jul 2012 16:14:16
California Air Resources Board staff has posted a new Low Carbon Fuel Standard guidance document for producers of mixed feedstock biodiesel. It has been posted to the LCFS website: http://www.arb.ca.gov/fuels/lcfs/2a2b/2a-2b-apps.htm Producers and regulated parties may use the guidance found in the posted document to determine and report the carbon intensities of mixed-feedstock biodiesel. If you have any questions, please contact Wes Ingram, Manager, Fuels Evaluation Section, at (916) 322-3984. The Low Carbon Fuel Standard, a regulation to reduce the carbon intensity of fuels sold in California ten percent by 2020, is one of the measures adopted by the California Air Resources Board, pursuant to Health and Safety Code Sections 38500 38599 (AB 32) to reduce greenhouse gases in California. It is designed to help clean the air, protect the environment, and drive the development of clean, low-carbon fuels to improve California's energy security and energy independence.
