arbcombo -- Extension of the ECS Purifilter Plus M System

Engine Control Systems’s Purifilter Plus M Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) System Extension for On-Road Applications. The Air Resources Board (ARB) has granted an extension for Engine Control Systems Purifilter Plus M DPF system for use with certain 1993 through 2010 on-road diesel vehicles. The extension also includes a new filter size. The Purifilter Plus M system uses a catalyzed silicon carbide wall-flow filter for passive regeneration and electric heating elements for active regeneration to achieve an 85 percent reduction in emissions of diesel particulate matter, qualifying it for Level 3 “Plus” verification.
