sf6elec -- Regulation for Reducing Sulfur Hexafluoride Emissions from Gas Insulated Switchgear annual report due June 1, 2013
Posted: 25 Feb 2013 08:30:14
The annual report for sulfur hexafluoride emissions from gas insulated switchgear for calendar year 2012 is required to be submitted to the California Air Resources Board (Board or ARB) by June 1, 2013. This report is required pursuant to title 17, California Code of Regulations, section 95350, et seq., Regulation for Reducing Sulfur Hexafluoride Emissions from Gas Insulated Switchgear (Regulation). Failure of a regulated entity to submit the annual report by the due date may subject the regulated entity to an enforcement action. If you have any questions regarding this notice, the annual report, or the regulation, please contact Tom Pomales, Air Pollution Specialist, at (916) 324-0343 or tpomales@arb.ca.gov. Background: On June 21, 2007, as part of implementing the California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006 the Board approved the reduction of SF6 emissions from electrical equipment as an early action measure. ARB staff, in collaboration with interested stakeholders, developed a control measure to address these emissions.
