research -- Updated Air Pollution Planning Webpages

Posted: 17 May 2013 14:45:38
The California Air Resources Board (ARB) recently updated our
research planning webpages to more accurately reflect our current
research plan development process, and to make it easier to learn
about research projects included in prior Annual Research Plans.

For an overview of ARBís air pollution and climate research
planning, and to access ARBís most recent research plan, please
visit: http://www.arb.ca.gov/research/apr/apr.htm

For more detail on our planning process, including timeline and
key milestones, please visit:

For information on projects that were included in prior research
plans, please visit:

Please also note that the deadline for submission of brief (200
word) research ideas for the 2014-2015 research planning process
has been extended to May 31, 2013. In order to submit a research
idea, please visit: http://researchplanning.arb.wagn.org/

These research ideas are fundamental to ARBís research plan
development process, and we encourage the submission of any
research ideas that are relevant to ARBís policies and programs.
Research ideas should include clearly stated research
objective(s), a very brief description of methods that could or
would be employed, and what the final product or deliverable of
the research would be. Information on time and funding needed to
conduct the research is helpful but not required. ARB will
continue to accept research ideas on an ongoing basis after the
May 31 deadline, but they will be considered for future research

Deadline to submit an idea: May 31, 2013, 11:59 PM, PST Online
submission website: http://researchplanning.arb.wagn.org/
Research ideas submitted by the previous deadline (January 31,
2013) do not need to be re-submitted; all submissions will be
evaluated after the new May 31, 2013 deadline.
