The California Air Resources Board (ARB) staff invites you to participate in two public workshops to discuss two regulatory items under the Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS). In the morning meeting, we will discuss the refinery-specific incremental deficit option and innovative production techniques. There will be a separate workshop in the afternoon to discuss Low-Complexity/Low-Energy-Use Refinery Provisions. Staff will solicit stakeholder feedback during both workshops. The meetings will be held at the following times and location: DATE: Thursday, June 20, 2013 TIME: 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (Proposed Refinery-Specific Incremental Deficit Option) 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Proposed Low-Complexity/Low-Energy-Use Refinery Provisions) LOCATION: Sierra Hearing Room ADDRESS: Cal/EPA Headquarters Building 1001 "I" Street Sacramento, California 95814 Staff presentations and additional information can be found at: http://www.arb.ca.gov/fuels/lcfs/regamend13/regamend13.htm. If you have any questions regarding this document, please contact Ms. Katrina Sideco, Air Resources Engineer, at (916) 323-1082 or via email at ksideco@arb.ca.gov. The LCFS, a regulation to reduce the carbon intensity of fuels sold in California ten percent by 2020, is one of the measures adopted by ARB, pursuant to Health and Safety Code Sections 38500-38599 (AB 32) to reduce greenhouse gases in California. It is designed to help clean the air, protect the environment, and drive the development of clean, low-carbon fuels to improve California's energy security and energy independence.
