arbcombo -- Comment Period Extension for Newly Posted Fuel Pathways
Posted: 20 Dec 2013 14:30:36
On Tuesday, December 17, 2013, California Air Resources Board (ARB) staff posted six Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) pathway applications to the LCFS public comment web site. Because the 10-day comment period for these pathways overlaps with the holidays, we are extending the comment period on this posting in order to accommodate holiday vacation schedules. Comments will now be accepted until Wednesday, January 8, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. PST. To review the pathways or post a comment, go to http://www.arb.ca.gov/fuels/lcfs/2a2b/2a-2b-com.htm. If you have any questions, please contact Mike Waugh, Chief, Transportation Fuels Branch, at (916) 322-8263. The Low Carbon Fuel Standard, a regulation to reduce the carbon intensity of fuels sold in California ten percent by 2020, is one of the measures adopted by the California Air Resources Board, pursuant to Health and Safety Code Sections 38500-38599 (AB 32) to reduce greenhouse gases in California. It is designed to help clean the air, protect the environment, and drive the development of clean, low-carbon fuels to improve California's energy security and energy independence.
