Please be advised that Air Resources Board (ARB/Board) has posted
a Notice of Decision Not to Proceed (NDNP) to withdraw the
rulemaking to consider a proposed new regulation on the
Commercialization of New Alternative Diesel Fuels. Along with
ARB’s action to issue the NDNP, the rulemaking item will also be
removed from the March Board hearing calendar.

A new rulemaking action will be re-noticed for a public hearing
during the summer of 2014.  With the subsequent re-notice, a new
45 day comment period will be provided.  For the convenience of
interested parties, all comments received under the notice
published on October 25, 2013, California Registry, Register
2013, No. 43-Z, will be included in the record for the future
rulemaking action.  To the extent previous comments pertain to
the future noticed proposed regulation, they will be summarized
and responded to within the final statement of reasons issued by
the Board.

The alternative diesel fuel rulemaking is an effort to develop a
uniform framework for standards, specifications, procedures and
other requirements applicable to various current and
developmental alternative diesel fuels.
