The California Board of Equalization has launched an easy to use website to explain a new law that began on July 1, 2014, which allows manufacturers and certain research and developers to obtain a partial exemption of sales and use tax on certain manufacturing and research and development equipment purchases and leases. http://www.boe.ca.gov/sutax/manufacturing_exemptions.htm California is in a drought emergency.
