sb375 -- Release of ARB Staff Report on the Technical Evaluation of FCOG 2014 RTP/SCS

Posted: 09 Jan 2015 17:03:14
ARB Staff Technical Evaluation of FCOG’s 2014 RTP/SCS is
available for review.

ARB staff has completed a staff report documenting findings from
their technical evaluation of Fresno Council of Governments'
(FCOG) determination that its 2014 RTP/SCS would, if implemented,
achieve the regional greenhouse gas emission targets set by the
Board. The staff report was posted on (date) and is available
from ARB’s SB375 website at
http://www.arb.ca.gov/cc/sb375/sb375.htm

California State law (the Sustainable Communities and Climate
Protection Act of 2008, Sustainable Communities or SB 375,
Statutes of 2008) requires each of the
State’s Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPO) to prepare a
Sustainable Communities Strategy to meet the regional greenhouse
gas emission reduction targets for 2020 and 2035, set by the
Board in September 2010. The statute also requires ARB to review
each MPO’s determination that its SCS would, if implemented,
achieve the greenhouse gas emission reduction targets.

On January 29, 2015, ARB staff will present the findings from
their technical evaluation of FCOG’s greenhouse gas determination
to the Board, and the Board will consider whether to accept or
reject FCOG’s determination. The agenda for the January 29
