sore -- REVISED INTERNATIONAL CALL INFORMATION FOR THE SMALL OFF-ROAD ENGINE WORKING GROUP MEETING AT 11:00 AM ON SEPTEMBER 2, 2015
Posted: 01 Sep 2015 09:05:05
A phone number has been added to facilitate the participation of international callers in the meeting. The Small Off-Road Engine Working Group will hold its first meeting via conference call at 11:00 AM PDT on September 2, 2015. The purpose of the Working Group is to discuss emissions mitigation opportunities related to small off-road engines (SORE). During the first meeting, the working group will discuss the results of the model year 2013 SORE evaporative emissions Validation Study and ARB’s and industry’s responses to those results. The working group will convene approximately every three months, or more frequently if needed, with the goal of improving SORE equipment emissions performance. Other issues related to SORE will be discussed as necessary. To participate in the meeting on September 2, 2015, use one of the following phone numbers and participate passcode: USA Phone number: (888) 323-9710 Phone number for international callers: 1 (630) 395-0287 Participant passcode: 9884041 The meeting agenda and a copy of the 2013 Validation Study results will be sent via email to the members of the Working Group prior to the meeting. If you have additional questions, please contact Christopher Dilbeck via email at Christopher.Dilbeck@arb.ca.gov or at (916) 319-0106. Background: California Code of Regulations, title 13, section 2754.2, requires the SORE Validation Study in order to provide the Executive Officer with data to determine whether the performance-based and design-based certification options for SORE are achieving ARB’s overall emission reduction goals. Results from the model year 2013 SORE Validation Study and ongoing ARB emissions testing of SORE equipment indicate the opportunity exists for a collaborative effort between ARB and industry stakeholders to mitigate emissions from SORE. California is in a drought emergency. Visit www.SaveOurH2O.org for water conservation tips.
