Posted: 29 Sep 2015 13:07:37
The Air Resources Board (ARB or Board) invites you to participate in a public workshop to learn about updates to the ARB portable fuel container (PFC) regulation, including an updated timeline for a February 2016 Board Hearing date, changes to the certification process, economic impacts, and an update on an interlaboratory comparison study. The workshop will consist of a presentation by staff lasting approximately 20 minutes, followed by a question and answer session. The workshop will be held at the following location and time: Date: October 20, 2015 Time: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. PDT Location: ARB, Monitoring and Laboratory Division 1927 13th Street, 1st Floor Conference Room Sacramento, California 95811 Background: ARB’s portable fuel container regulation was adopted in 1999 and amended in 2005. Subsequent to the 2005 amendment, staff identified the need to update the portable fuel container regulation to match the fuel used for certification testing with commercially available pump fuel containing 10 percent ethanol; harmonize, where appropriate, with the U.S. EPA portable fuel container regulation; and clarify and streamline certification and test procedures. Participants are encouraged to attend in person. An audio conference line will be set up to accommodate those who are unable to attend in person. The workshop agenda, call-in details, and an electronic copy of the staff presentation will be posted by October 19 on ARB’s website at: http://www.arb.ca.gov/consprod/fuel-containers/pfc/pfc.htm. The workshop location is accessible to persons with disabilities. If you need special accommodation or have language needs, please contact Andrea McStocker at (916) 322-3966 as soon as possible. TTY/TDD Speech-to-Speech users may dial 711 for the California Relay Service.
