Posted: 28 Nov 2007 13:22:54
Health Canada’s Proposed Regulations for Intentional Ozone Generators The Air Resources Board is forwarding this notice to the Air Cleaner Listserve at the request of Health Canada staff, to assist them in assuring that all interested parties are aware of Health Canada’s planned actions related to intentional ozone generating air cleaners. Health Canada is concerned with the adverse health effects that may result from exposure to ozone from air cleaners that intentionally generate ozone gas. Health Canada is currently seeking stakeholder input with respect to a proposal to regulate the output of ozone from these devices that are advertised, sold, or imported for sale in Canada. Information regarding this initiative is available on Health Canada's website at: http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/cps-spc/legislation/consultation/ozone_e.html For further information, please contact: Cynthia Desnoyers Project Officer / Agente de projet Chemistry and Flammability Division / Division de la chimie et de l'inflammabilité Consumer Product Safety Bureau / Bureau de la sécurité des produits de consommation Health Canada / Santé Canada Tel: (613) 946-3559 Fax: (613) 952-9138 Cynthia_Desnoyers@hc-sc.gc.ca If you do not wish to be on ARB’s air cleaner listserv and have problems unsubscribing as instructed below, please contact Susan Lum at aircleaners@listserv.arb.ca.gov or by phone at (916) 445-0753.
