The Air Resources Board is sending this note on behalf of the South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) to announce the district's upcoming December 4th workshop on the Surplus Off-Road Opt-In for NOx (SOON) program. This program will be of interest to off-road fleets that operate vehicles in the South Coast. The AQMD has scheduled a public workshop at the following time and location to present and solicit information and comments from the public regarding AQMD Board’s consideration of opting in to the SOON provision of the State Regulation for In-Use Off-Road Diesel Vehicles and Proposed Rule 2449 – Control of Oxides of Nitrogen Emissions from Off-Road Diesel Vehicles: Tuesday, December 4, 2007 - 9:30 a.m. AQMD Auditorium 21865 Copley Drive Diamond Bar, CA 91765 If you believe this program might apply to your fleet, please see the preliminary draft Staff report at (at www.aqmd.gov/rules/proposed.html, under the Proposed Rule 2449).
