The California Air Resources Board (ARB) will make available on
Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at noon (12:00 PM) Pacific Time,
aggregated data on Cap-and-Trade Program vintage 2016 allowance
allocation. The vintage 2016 allocation summary will be
accessible via ARB's Public Data on Allowance Allocation website
at
http://www.arb.ca.gov/cc/capandtrade/allowanceallocation/publicallocation.htm.

The document will provide a summary of the vintage 2016 allowance
allocation under the Cap-and-Trade Program, aggregated both by
allocation methodology and, within the industrial allocation
category, by North American Industry Classification System NAICS)
sector.  To protect confidential business information for
individual facilities, no industrial sector contains fewer than 5
companies.

Background

Under the Cap-and-Trade Program, ARB allocates allowances to
eligible entities each calendar year.  The methodologies for
allowance allocation can be found in Cap-and-Trade Regulation
sections 95852(j), 95852(k), 95870, 95890, 95891, 95893, 95894,
and 95895.  ARB allocates to industrial facilities for leakage
prevention and transition assistance, the electrical distribution
utilities and natural gas suppliers for ratepayer protection, and
to other sectors for transition assistance.
