Posted: 27 May 2016 15:51:02
The California Air Resources Board (ARB) staff has posted the
presentations and preliminary draft regulation order for the Low
Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) workshop to be held on June 2, 2016.
At this workshop, staff will discuss proposed amendments to
clarify and enhance regulatory requirements, as well as
preliminary draft regulatory language for a proposed mandatory
verification program. Staff will also provide an update on the
status of pathway application processing and unique identifiers
for LCFS credits.

The presentations and preliminary draft regulation order can be
found at:
http://www.arb.ca.gov/fuels/lcfs/lcfs_meetings/lcfs_meetings.htm.

If you have questions about the workshop, please contact Jim
Aguila, Branch Chief, Climate Change Program Planning and
Management Branch, at (916) 322-8283 or via email at
Jim.Aguila@arb.ca.gov, or Renee Lawver, Manager, Substance
Evaluation Section at (916) 322-7062 or via email at

The LCFS, a regulation to reduce the carbon intensity of fuels
sold in California ten percent by 2020, is one of the measures
adopted by ARB, pursuant to Health and Safety Code Sections
38500-38599 (AB 32) to reduce California’s greenhouse gas
emissions. It is designed to help clean the air, protect the
environment, and drive the development of clean, low-carbon
fuels.

California is in a drought emergency.
