Gov. Jerry Brown wants to extend California's climate change law
beyond 2020. Gov. Jerry Brown is endorsing an extension of the
state's main climate change law. "We will not meet our

out that more than 6 million premature deaths each year — or

Penguins losing habitat in Antarctica, could be decimated by
2099. Penguins — easily the most known and beloved wild animal in
Antarctica — could be decimated by man-made global warming over
the coming decades, according to a new study. Habitat loss caused
from warmer water and loss of sea ice could bring a 60% decline
in population of the Adélie penguin by 2099, said study lead
author Megan Cimino.

Would you recharge your Tesla electric car at a gas station? What
if gas stations offered cars more than just gasoline or diesel
fuel? Tesla continues to expand its network of Supercharger DC
fast-charging stations, and that means finding new places to put
those stations. Which is why the company is in talks with a major
gas station and convenience-store chain to place electric-car
charging stations alongside gas pumps.

Volkswagen’s European Customers May Miss Out on Emissions
Settlement
German auto maker agreed near $15 billion settlement in U.S.

emissions-cheating scandal.

Volkswagen’s $14.7 billion settlement includes perks for
California drivers, air quality. Two years after a California
agency first exposed Volkswagen’s scheme to cheat on vehicle
emission tests, the state netted a large portion of the $14.7

claims that it misled customers and lied to regulators for years.

What VW owners can expect from deal. Volkswagen owners can
finally dump their cheatin' cars, if they want to. The German
automaker has agreed to an unprecedented U.S. settlement to make
things right after admitting that it programmed about half a
million of its diesel cars to cheat on emissions tests. When
driven on the road, the vehicles put out levels of nitrous oxide
well above U.S. pollution standards.

‘Tesla Solar’ Wants to Be the Apple Store for Electricity. The
SolarCity deal isn’t only about putting panels on your house.
Tesla Motors Inc.’s bid to buy the biggest U.S. rooftop solar
installer has little to do with selling cars. Rather, it’s about
solving two of the biggest problems standing in the way of the
next solar boom. And perhaps a good deal more.
