The Air Resources Board (ARB) staff has posted a slide presentation that will be discussed at the September 9, 2016, public workshop on potential regulatory changes to the ARB’s Heavy-Duty Vehicle Inspection Program (HDVIP) and the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP), and on plans to develop a comprehensive inspection and maintenance (I/M) program for heavy-duty (HD) vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating over 14,000 pounds for implementation in the post-2020 timeframe. The public workshop presentation can be accessed at: http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/hdim/hdim.htm. The public workshop will be conducted on September 9 in Sacramento (details below), which will include a presentation similar to that discussed at the August 25, 2016, public workshop in El Monte.
