vapor -- Informational Bulletin for Major Modifications and Dispenser Replacement

The Air Resources Board (ARB) has released an Informational Bulletin that addresses equipment replacement and what constitutes a major modification and triggers the requirement to upgrade system components. Per Definitions for Vapor Recovery Procedures, D-200, a major modification is any modification of an existing gasoline dispensing facility (GDF) that makes it subject to the requirements to which an new installation is subject. Actions which can trigger major modification include the addition, replacement, or removal of 50 percent or more of the buried vapor piping, or the replacement of dispensers.
