omb -- DOE Announces the Third Round of the Small Business Vouchers Pilot at the South by Southwest Eco Conference
Posted: 17 Oct 2016 15:19:05
On October 10, at the South by Southwest Eco conference in Austin, Texas, the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE's) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) launched the third round of the Small Business Vouchers (SBV) Pilot. Small businesses in the clean energy sector now have another opportunity to submit requests for assistance (RFAs) from DOE national laboratories. The pilot, part of EERE’s Lab Impact portfolio, aims to help small businesses bring next-generation clean energy technologies to market faster by giving them access to expertise and tools at national laboratories. Technical vouchers are available in nine specific research and development areas, including bioenergy. EERE strongly welcomes the chance to collaborate with small businesses that have little to no experience working with a DOE national laboratory. Individual vouchers range from $50,000 to $300,000 and can be used to perform collaborative research or to access lab instrumentation or facilities. Companies have until November 10, 2016, to submit RFAs. Just recently, EERE announced the Round 2 SBV awards, which included $1 million in vouchers for projects related to bioenergy, provided by EERE’s Bioenergy Technologies Office. Apply now for the opportunity to be awarded vouchers in Round 3! For more information about SBVs, please join the “Bioenergy Technologies Office Small Business Voucher Program Overview” webinar tomorrow, Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
