Date: Thu, 16 Oct 2014 14:01:23 -0700 Subject: arch-ctgs -- 2014 Architectural Coatings Survey Reporting Tool Beta Test From: mhpham@arb.ca.gov The California Air Resources Board’s (ARB) staff is developing a survey to collect data on architectural coatings sold in California during the 2013 calendar year. ARB staff has posted a link to the draft Architectural Coatings Survey (2014 Survey) documents, the Architectural Coatings Reporting Tool (ACRT) and draft 2014 Survey instructions. The posted materials include information regarding who is subject to reporting and ARB’s authority to conduct the surveys. The draft ACRT and the draft 2014 Survey packet are available here: http://www.arb.ca.gov/coatings/arch/survey/2014/2014survey.htm Please email your comments on the draft 2014 Survey and the ACRT to ArchCoatSurvey@arb.ca.gov by November 7, 2014. Staff will conduct a webinar on Thursday, October 23, 2014, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. PDT to provide a forum for responding to questions related to the 2014 Architectural Coatings Survey and the ACRT. The webinar will provide background information about the 2014 Survey and include a demonstration of the ACRT. Registration for the webinar is available here: Registration Web Link: https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/91360426 In addition, ARB staff plans to conduct a webinar on December 16, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. PST. Specifically, the webinar will address the process for completing the survey using the ACRT and uploading completed 2014 Survey data to ARB, which will begin January 1, 2015. Registration for the webinar is available here: https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/349497241 ARB’s Architectural Coatings Program is crucial in helping air districts reduce the amount of smog-forming volatile organic compounds that are emitted from use of architectural coatings in California. ARB’s Architectural Coatings Suggested Control Measures have resulted in air districts reducing statewide emissions from architectural coatings. ARB’s 2014 Survey is an important step in collecting information on architectural coatings that are sold or supplied for use in California. The data collected from the 2014 Survey are designed to support the statewide architectural coatings inventory, speciation profiles used in criteria pollutant modeling, and future Suggested Control Measures for Architectural Coatings. If you have any questions about the material posted or have general questions regarding the Architectural Coatings Program, please contact Ms. Nancy Adams at (916) 324-8174 or via email at nancy.adams@arb.ca.gov.
