Date: Thu, 8 Jan 2015 17:27:36 -0800 Subject: consprod -- Additional materials for the 2013 Consumer and Commercial Products Survey. From: mhpham@arb.ca.gov The California Air Resources Board (ARB) staff has posted updated materials regarding the 2013 Consumer and Commercial Products Survey (2013 Survey). The materials posted include: - Consumer Products Reporting Tool (CPRT), version 1.03 - Consumer Products Reporting Tool for Formulators (CPRTF), version 1.01 - Summary of Version 1.03 CPRT and Version 1.01 CPRTF updates - Updated CPRT Import Template - Additional Instructions for Importing Data into the CPRT and CPRTF The newly posted materials are available on the Consumer Products Program website at: http://www.arb.ca.gov/consprod/regact/2013surv/2013main.htm. As a reminder, on February 4th, 2015, from 10am-1pm PST California Air Resources Board (ARB) staff plan to have a webinar to provide a forum for responding to any questions related to the 2013 Consumer and Commercial Products Survey (2013 Survey) data upload, upload portal, and other additional survey and reporting tool questions. Registration for the webinar is available here: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/119958100 ARB’s Consumer Products Program is a key part of overall efforts to reduce the amount of smog-forming volatile organic compounds, toxic air contaminants, and greenhouse gasses that are emitted from use of chemically formulated consumer products in California. ARB’s Consumer Products Regulations have resulted in reduced statewide emissions from consumer products by an estimated 50 percent since 1990. ARB’s 2013 Survey is an important step in collecting information on consumer products that are sold or supplied for use in California. The data collected from the 2013 Survey are designed to support the statewide consumer product inventory, speciation profiles used in criteria pollutant modelling, and future rulemakings. If you have any questions about the 2013 Survey or have general questions regarding the Consumer Products Program, please contact David Edwards at (916) 323-4887 or via email at csmrprod@arb.ca.gov. Bennett, Ph.D. University of California, Davis Tuesday, September 22, 2015 1:30 p.m., PDT (WEBCAST) Sierra Hearing Room, 2nd Floor, Cal/EPA Building 1001 I Street, Sacramento, California The formation of ground-level ozone is caused by the gas-phase interactions of emitted volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and oxides of nitrogen in the presence of sunlight. Low vapor pressure-volatile organic compounds (LVP-VOCs) are exempt from the VOC content limits for consumer products and are defined in the California Code of Regulations. To evaluate the availability of LVP-VOCs that may contribute towards ozone formation from the use of consumer products, we developed modeling tools for two potential modes of releases during the use of consumer products (i.e., direct release to the outdoor air and disposed down the drain).
