Subject: dryclean Non-Toxic Dry Cleaning Incentive Program

Greetings,
Assembly Bill 998 established the non-toxic and non-smog forming
dry cleaning incentive program to provide the dry cleaning
industry with grant funds to switch from sytems using
perchloroethylene, an identified toxic contaminant and potential
human carcinogen, to non-toxic and non-smog forming
alternatives. The legistlation also establishes a demonstration
program to showcase thses non-toxic and non-smog forming
technologies in the state.
