Date: Wed, 9 Jun 2004 15:23:35 -0700 Subject: ej EJ Status Report From: jraymond@arb.ca.gov To EJ Stakeholders: We wanted to let you know that we are going to our Board in June with a status report on the implementation of the Air Resources Board’s EJ Policies and Actions. This report will not include the Air Quality and Land Use Handbook. There will also be a separate presentation by Teresa Villegas, the Hewlett Foundation Fellow, on ARB’s EJ program. We have not yet scheduled the next EJ stakeholders meeting. Due to the changes in ARB’s emailing operations, we are now using a new EJ Stakeholders Listserve. Everyone on the old EJ Stakeholders mailing list has been transferred to the new listserve. The new listerve automatically includes information on how to unsubscribe to the list. The purpose of the introductory meetings is to discuss why new clean air plans are necessary, what is involved in developing these new plans, and what major decision points are approaching. Now is the perfect time to become engaged in the discussion of initial plan design and direction. As information from the SIP technical analyses becomes available over the next two years, we will hold additional public meetings to share the preliminary results and, with your involvement, begin to formulate control strategies. The meeting notice and locations are available at http://www.arb.ca.gov/planning/sip/ncozsips07/ncozsips07.htm. We will schedule similar meetings in Southern California early next year. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Lucille van Ommering, at lvanomme@arb.ca.gov or by phone at (916) 323-0296. ====================================================================== You are subscribed to the ej mailing list.
