The ARB and the DHS are jointly conducting the study, with a research consulting organization, Research Triangle Institute, conducting much of the field effort. These workshops are designed to: (1) provide information on the study, and (2) obtain input and suggestions from interested parties. ARB and DHS staff members will discuss the study plans, the study schedule, and future opportunities for stakeholder input. We welcome your questions and comments on the study. Data will be collected that will enable the State to: 1) assess the potential for adverse health impacts from environmental conditions and toxic pollutants that may be present in portable classrooms; and 2) identify effective actions that can be taken to remedy or prevent any unhealthful conditions found. The final report on the study will summarize the results of the study and include recommendations to address any unhealthful conditions found.
