Date: Mon, 15 May 2006 13:25:33 -0700 Subject: shipincin Oceangoing Ship Onboard Incineration From: mkomleni@ARB.ca.gov This is to inform you that you have been added to the Oceangoing Ship Onboard Incineration List Serve. A new website is available for the oceangoing ship onboard incineration ATCM. The website can be found at the following address. http://www.arb.ca.gov/toxics/shipincin/shipincin.htm On May 9, 2006, a survey on incineration practices was distributed to owners/operators of oceangoing ships. With the exception of cruise ships, all owners/operators of oceangoing ships greater than 300 gross tons are required to complete the survey. A link to the survey can be found on the webpage listed above. A working group is being formed to discuss regulatory concepts for implementing Senate Bill 771 (SB 771). SB 771 prohibits oceangoing ships from conducting onboard incineration within three miles of the California coast. The focus of this working group will be to establish the three mile boundary and establish recordkeeping and reporting requirements for onboard incineration. If you would like to participate on this working group please visit the webpage listed above and click on “add me” to the oceangoing ship onboard incineration working group. ====================================================================== You are subscribed to the shipincin mailing list.
