Clean Versions of the Latest OAL-Approved OBD II Regulations

Here you will find the "clean" versions (with no strike-outs or underlines) of the OBD II and associated enforcement regulations, sections 1968.2 and 1968.5, title 13, California Code of Regulations.  Since these clean versions were made by ARB staff for convenience, these versions do not constitute official versions of the regulations.  The official versions of the regulations are Barclays Official California Code of Regulations and can be found at www.oal.ca.gov .

OAL-Approved Final Regulation Orders for the OBD II and Associated Regulations: approved on July 25, 2016

These are the final regulation orders for the OBD II regulations and various other associated regulations, approved by OAL on July 25, 2016.  These versions of the regulations include the "track changes" format to identify changes from the original regulation (additions are indicated by underline and deletions are indicated by strikeout).

Here you will find the documents that detail the modifications made to the staff's original proposed amendments to the OBD II regulations (Board Hearing date: September 24-25, 2015) and additional proposed amendments made to various other sections of title 13 and title 17, California Code of Regulations. Deadline for public comment on the changes: April 6, 2016.

ARB held a Board Hearing on September 24-25, 2015, to propose amendments to the OBD II regulations (sections 1968.2 and 1968.5 of title 13, California Code of Regulations) and a minor amendment to section 1900 of title 13, California Code of Regulations for adoption. ARB held a public workshop on October 30, 2014 to discuss its current position and proposals regarding OBD II-related issues.  Here you will find the documents pertaining to the workshop:
