The Board's legislatively mandated Research Screening Committee consists of scientists, engineers, and others knowledgeable, technically qualified, and experienced in air pollution problems.
Chairman, Dr. Alan C. Lloyd, said, "I am pleased to welcome the four new members to the Research Screening Committee. Their expertise is a compliment to the committee and I look forward to working with them on future research projects."

The committee meets approximately six times a year to review proposed and completed research projects that are contracted through the Research Division. The committee is made up of nine members that serve at the pleasure of the Board. This is the first time that the Board had appointed an Ex Officio member, a person that serves as an advisor but cannot vote.
