ARB recognizes the need to contract out for services that cannot be provided by the State.  Once these needs are identified and approved, staff will prepare and solicit a request for a contractor(s) to provide these services.  This is often done through the competitive process under one of three types of advertisements; the Invitation for Bid (IFB), Request for Proposal (RFP), or Request for Qualifications (RFQ).

Letter of Intent to Award:
Per Public Contracting Code §10345, ARB is required to post, in an area accessible to the public, a letter of intent to award for RFPs; and for IFBs, if requested in writing by any bidder who has submitted a bid.
