The Office of Information Services (OIS) is seeking an IT Specialist I (IT Spec I), Business Analyst Tester for the Systems Development and Support Branch (SDSB). SDSB is seeking an IT Spec I with PHP or .Net coding experience to conduct business analysis, application testing, and writing of Microsoft SQL Report Services (SSRS) reports. The IT Spec I will lead requirements gathering workshops with internal customers and document those requirements in Team Foundation Server. The IT Spec I informs the software design process and through testing, determines whether the code meets the requirements. The Substance Evaluation Section (Section) in the Program Planning and Management Branch has one vacancy for an Air Resources Engineer (ARE) position for which it is seeking highly competent candidates with engineering experience and knowledge of alternative fuel production technology, process engineering, and supply chains or knowledge of petroleum refining operations.  This section is responsible for implementing the verification requirements of the Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) Regulation. The Industrial Strategies Division is recruiting for an Air Pollution Specialist to fill a vacancy within the Program Operation Section of the Climate Change Program Evaluation Branch.  The Climate Change Program Evaluation Branch is responsible for implementation and oversight of the California Cap-and-Trade Program. Under direction of the Air Resources Supervisor I of the Program Operation Section, this position will participate as a member of an experienced team established to address policy and technical issues associated with the development of plans for reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions related to internationally linked Cap-and-Trade programs.  The incumbent will be responsible for development and implementation of compliance offset protocols for the reporting and verification of voluntary GHG emissions reductions by offset project developers to support the Cap-and-Trade Program.  The incumbent will assist offset project operators with compliance and oversee the offset verification program.  The incumbent will develop a variety of reports, briefing papers, speeches and presentations, and will work with management to evaluate proposals and recommend creative solutions to climate change challenges.  The incumbent will be called upon to serve as a lead person for workgroups and technical meetings, and to engage in events with industry, environmental groups, government organizations, and the public.
