2017 Ozone Attainment Plan  

On September 28, 2017, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) will hold a public meeting to consider adoption of the Eastern Kern Air Pollution Control District Plan for 2008 Federal 75 ppb 8-Hour Ozone Standard (2017 Plan) as a revision to the California SIP.  The District Board adopted the 2017 Plan at a public hearing on July 27, 2017.

2017 Reasonably Available Control Technology SIP  

The Eastern Kern Air Pollution Control District adopted the Reasonably Available Control Technology (RACT) State Implementation Plan (SIP) for the 2008 Ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) (2017 RACT SIP) on May 11, 2017.  CARB submitted the 2017 RACT SIP to the U.S. EPA as a revision to the California SIP on August 9, 2017.

Appendix 
2003 Ozone Attainment Demonstration, Maintenance Plan, and Redesignation Request  

On January 9, 2003, the Eastern Kern County Air Pollution Control District (EKAPCD) adopted the East Kern Ozone Attainment Demonstration, Maintenance Plan and Redesignation Request for the East Kern County nonattainment area.  On May 1, 2003, the EKAPCD Board adopted amendments to the January 2003 plan.  On December 9, 2003, ARB adopted and submitted the amended plan to U.S. EPA .
