This page contains information regarding recent and historical State Implementation Plan (SIP) activity related to the Ventura County Air Pollution Control District.  Below you will find links to the 2016 8-hour Ozone Plan, 2014 Reasonably Available Control Technology (RACT) SIP Revision2007 8-hour Ozone Plan, and the 2004 1-hour Ozone plan and associated documents such as: letters submitting the plans to the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, resolutions, staff reports, and public hearing notices.  This page also contains a link to the 2008 Ozone Early Progress Plan.


2016 8-hour Ozone Plan

2018 Updates: In response to court decisions, some elements included in the 2016 Ventura County Air Quality Management Plan required updates.  CARB staff prepared the 2018 Updates to the California State Implementation Plan (2018 SIP Update) to update SIP elements for nonattainment areas throughout the State as needed.  CARB adopted the 2018 SIP Update on October 25, 2018.

CARB has scheduled a public meeting on March 23, 2017 to consider adoption of the 2016 Ventura County Air Quality Management Plan (Plan), as a revision to the California SIP.  The District Board adopted this Plan at a public hearing on
February 14, 2017.

2014 Reasonably Available Control Technology SIP Revision


The Ventura County Air Pollution Control District recently adopted the 2014 Reasonable Available Control Technology SIP Revision (2014 RACT SIP).  CARB submitted the 2014 RACT SIP to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as a revision to the California SIP.

2007 8-Hour Ozone Plan

At a public hearing held on June 26, 2008, CARB approved the Ventura County Air Quality Management Plan for attaining the Federal 8-hour Ozone standard. The plan projects attainment for the standard by 2013.

2004 1-Hour Ozone Plan
