.  The Western Nevada County Nonattainment Area is part of the Northern Sierra Air Quality Management District (District).  The information on this page provides links to CARB and District documentation, as well as U.S. EPA actions related to designations.

2018 Western Nevada County Planning Area Ozone Attainment Plan 

The California Air Resources Board (CARB or Board) will consider the Western Nevada County 8-hour Ozone Attainment Plan at a public hearing on November 15, 2018.  This Plan is being considered for submittal to the State Implementation Plan.

2018 Updates: In response to court decisions, some elements included in the ozone plans for the 75 ppb 8-hour ozone standard required updates.  CARB staff prepared the 2018 Updates to the California State Implementation Plan (2018 SIP Update) to update SIP elements for nonattainment areas throughout the State as needed.  CARB adopted the 2018 SIP Update, including a Statewide Contingency Measure, on October 25, 2018.

2018 Reasonably Available Control Technology SIP for Western Nevada County  

The Northern Sierra Air Quality Management District adopted the Reasonably Available Control Technology (RACT) State Implementation Plan (SIP) Revision for Western Nevada County 8-Hour Ozone Nonattainment Area (2018 RACT SIP) on March 26, 2018.  CARB submitted the 2018 RACT SIP to the U.S. EPA as a revision to the California SIP on June 7, 2018.
