Children's Health Study (CHS) Sites: October 2003 Fire - Lake Elsinore

This page updated September 7, 2010.

Below is a data plot of PM10 mass data for the Lake Elsinore CHS site from October 20 to November 1.
At the Lake Elsinore CHS site, extremely high levels of PM10 mass occurred on October 25 compared to the relatively low "normal" seasonal PM10 mass that occurred during the preceding dates of October 20 to October 23. The Santa Ana wind condition caused the smoke to blow into the Lake Elsinore area on October 25. The Lake Elsinore CHS Air Monitoring Station was taken off-line mid-day on October 28 for renovation and servicing. The Lake Elsinore monitoring station was restored to full operation on November 6 when the renovation and servicing was completed.
