The California Air Resources Board (CARB) invites you to participate in a work group meeting to discuss FY 2019-20 allocations for clean transportation equity projects:

• Clean Mobility Options
• Agricultural Worker Vanpools
• Rural School Bus Pilot
• Clean Mobility in Schools 
• Sustainable Transportation Equity Project
• Outreach, Alignment, and Workforce Training and Development 

On October 24, 2019, the Board approved the Fiscal Year (FY) 2019-20 Funding Plan, which served as a blueprint for expending Low Carbon Transportation investments funded with Cap-and-Trade Auction Proceeds and appropriated to CARB through the State's Budget Act of 2019. This State budget included $65 million for investments in clean transportation equity projects, contingent on the sum of the quarterly Cap-and-Trade auction proceeds. 

The fourth auction occurred on May 20, 2020, resulting in lower revenues than anticipated. As stated in the Funding Plan, if CARB does not receive authorization to spend the full amount, staff will propose to scale back all projects proportionally and/or hold a public work group meeting if other changes are proposed. 

CARB will discuss strategically lowering the funding allocation to clean transportation equity projects to accommodate the new lower amount in this category.  The meeting agenda and any handouts will be posted to the program website ahead of the meeting.
