| Description | The California Air Resources Board (CARB) is pleased to announce a competitive grant solicitation for a third-party administrator to implement the Advanced Technology Demonstration and Pilot Projects for Fiscal Year (FY) 2021-22 for a three fiscal year term. This solicitation includes an option for new Grant Agreements for fiscal years FY 2022-23 and FY 2023-24 if additional funds become available. On November 19, 2021, the Board approved the $40 million allocation to this project for FY 2021-22.
The Advanced Technology Demonstration and Pilot Project program is intended to strategically accelerate the advancement of innovative and economically viable technologies into the commercial marketplace that support the State’s equity and emission reduction goals. These goals are realized by being able to provide targeted funding that is significant enough to help guide development of encouraging technologies, and relevant enough to showcase the economic and environmental benefits. Historically, 99% of demonstration and pilot project funds have been located in disadvantaged communities or benefit priority populations. A portion of project funds would support the development of the programs implementation manual and administration of technical projects that result from the FY 21-22 Advanced Demonstration and Pilot Project solicitation that may be open for applications during the time this solicitation application period closes.
This competitive solicitation is open to California-based public entities, or California-based non-profit organizations with experience in administering large scale demonstration and pilot projects. |
