| Description | The California Air Resources Board (CARB) invites you to participate in a remote-access (Zoom) work group on the forthcoming Fiscal Year (FY) 2021-2022 Adult Education and Vocational Schools Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Workforce Training Project solicitation. At the work group, CARB staff will present on the proposed solicitation framework, including project eligibility and selection criteria, solicitation process and timeline, and other key elements. Funding for this investment includes a total of $1.5 million in FY 2021-22 Low Carbon Transportation Investments for workforce training and career development in priority communities. During July 2021 and April 2022, CARB held two work group meetings focused on clean transportation workforce training and development gaps. CARB is now holding a third work group to discuss the details of the solicitation based on key workforce needs and gaps identified by stakeholder feedback received through those work groups. CARB expects that this investment will maximize economic opportunities and benefits for priority communities such as zero-emission training, curriculum, and connections to good-quality clean transportation jobs, and also supports CARB’s equity programs and addresses CARB’s Senate Bill 350 Low-Income Barriers Report recommendations. |
