Although new ZEVs are no longer available for purchase or lease, this solicitation allows eligible fleets that purchased or leased new ZEV(s) after May 1, 2002 to receive the Fleet ZIP grant. This program was established to ensure that diverse communities throughout California, including low-income and communities of color, benefit from California's air quality programs. To accomplish this, rebates of up to $11,000 per vehicle are available to fleets that have purchased or leased qualifying new electric passenger cars or light-duty trucks.
